Pet Vaccinations with Safety in Mind
At Mendocino Animal Hospital in Ukiah, we take a unique approach to pet vaccinations. Our goal is to help your pet live the longest, best life possible. While vaccines do play a critical role in that for all pets, they’re also not one-size-fits-all. When you visit us for your pet’s wellness care, we’ll develop a personalized pet vaccination protocol according to your pet’s needs and risk factors.
Your pet requires vaccinations throughout their life. Let us develop a customized vaccine plan for them!
Pet Vaccines We Administer
Our pet vaccination list includes core vaccines we recommend for most pets, as well as lifestyle vaccines that only pets living a certain lifestyle will need. Here’s a list of our vaccines:
- Lyme disease
- Canine influenza
*Vaccination is one thing for rattlesnakes, but it’s even better if you can prevent encounters altogether. To encourage avoidance, we offer rattlesnake aversion training at our animal hospital! Call us at (707) 462-8833 for more information!
- Feline Leukemia
Pet Vaccination Timelines
Your pet will receive their first pet vaccinations as a series to build up their immunity when they are still a puppy or kitten. After their initial series, the core vaccines require boosters every 3 years to remain effective. Meanwhile, many of the lifestyle vaccines require yearly boosters. We can also perform titer testing to measure the antibodies already present and determine from there if your pet requires revaccination.
